La Costa Heights K2
Wow! It seems like I have been away for a very long time. It is spring, and I am excited to be back in the classroom. I have planned many new and fun activities for the next 3 weeks. One of which is the trip to the San Diego Zoo on May 3rd. Our kinders will be riding the bus to the zoo. However, if you are a volunteer for the day, you must drive or carpool with another parent. Please let me know asap if you a coming on the trip and if you have a zoo pass. Our class was given only 3 free passes.
I hope everyone had a wonderful vacation.
Mrs. Smith
Thanks again to all the parents involved with our
Valentine’s Day party. The kids had a great
time and all of the activities/treats were a big
hit. The students are lucky to have such
involved parents.
Don’t forget that this is the last week for our
reading challenge. Please encourage your child
to read 20 minutes each night and record those
minutes!
Parents, On Tuesday, 18th, we are tasting fruits
and vegetables for our nutrition unit. Please
remember to send the assigned food item to
school with your child. I know Monday is a holiday
and this will be hard to remember. So….I am
sending another reminder. Thanks for your help.
On Tuesday, January 11th, students can dress for
the snow. We have a fun day of activities
planned and everyone is so excited. Remember,
your child does not need to wear ALL the snow
clothes they have – just a few of the items will
be fine.
Dear Parents, I get so frustrated with our
computer system and web page. I will post a
copy of the weekly update on the window, just
in case you are unable to get to our website.
We would like to welcome Tallulah to our class.
She has moved here from Paris, France. Parents,
please introduce yourself to Tallulah’s parents
when you see them on Monday morning. Thanks.
Many thanks, again, to all the wonderful parents
in K2. Mrs. Carter and I would not be able to
have all the great activities without your help.
I would like to especially thank the parents that
helped the substitute teacher on Wed. when I
was out ill.
It late Friday afternoon and I can’t get our web-
site to post all of my weekly update. Sorry. I am
sending home a hard copy so that you can see
all of the classroom news.
Thanks again to all the parents that helped with
the “Fall Festival” in k2. It was fabulous
and the kids had a great time. I hope everyone
has a great 2 weeks vacation and will be ready to
work when we return Monday, Nov. 1st.
Mrs. Smith will be teaching Nov. 1st until the
Thanksgiving holiday.
Mrs. Carter and I appreciated the prompt
attendance during conferences. We enjoyed
sharing the progress each student has made and
the goals we have set for them. Remember,
report cards will go home in December.
Mrs. Smith is glad to be back. I will share pictures
from my trip soon.
